Booking a session
I only take on a certain number of clients each month, based on due date. Since babies often set their own schedule, this ensures I have the flexibility to get them into the studio whenever they decide to arrive. It also allows me to offer a more personalized client experience, which is very important to me.
Most mamas-to-be contact me a few months before baby is born to complete the paperwork needed in order to reserve their session. I often have last minute openings due to a baby arriving earlier or later than expected, though, so if you forgot to book ahead, please check with me for my current availability.
Once you are reserved for a session, I will ask that you contact me once baby arrives to select a date and time that works for our photo shoot. I try to get babies into the studio in their first 1-3 weeks of life when they are still sleepy and we’re able to capture all of their little newborn characteristics.
I generally share a sneak peek image from your session on Instagram a few days after we meet in the studio.
Two weeks after our session, I will email you a link to your sweet babe’s edited gallery. The gallery will be open for two weeks in order for you to make your selections on which package of images you’d like to purchase.
What to bring
I provide all of the wraps, tiebacks, hats, and backdrops needed for our session. Everything that touches your baby has been washed between sessions in a gentle, fragrance-free detergent.
As I work with newborn babies, masks are required for every person (other than baby and very young siblings) to enter my studio space. I am fully vaccinated – I received my second dose in mid-April – and I will be wearing a KN95 mask throughout our time together. I thank you in advance for your understanding.
As always, I sanitize my hands before touching baby and every so often during the session, wash wraps between babies, and use disinfectant to clean surfaces in my studio space after each session.
My studio space
My studio is attached to my Oceanside home in Arrowood, close to the intersection of Vandegrift and Douglas. It is a professional space separate from our living quarters with a bathroom for client use. You will be able to relax on a couch in the same area where I am working with your baby and watch the entire session.
